air traffic control feeds

I found this nifty site over at Metafilter:

* LiveATC.net - Live air traffic control audio feeds

Some of you have probably have been there before, but it's new to me!

[Edit: I just heard "foxray... foxtrot X-RAY..." on the KSEA Tower feed.]

  1. You can find quite a bit of public saftey feeds like that. I know of quite a few good ones for the So Cal area that I use during fire season. Check out:

Often you can find people putting up feeds on shoutcast or live365 and such...search for 'scanner'. I stream a live365 based scanner feed out of Denver to my tivo from time to time ;-)

  5. Firestarter: well I haven't had a lot of time for SWL recently, and mediumwave is another interest of mine during the winter especially. So I feel like I have enough to listen to on a regular basis. Other radio traffic is just a curiosity at this point. :)
